The Pétales awarded at the SIAL Paris 2006

The last innovation of the Moulin du Calanquet enables the small company to be awarded "Coup de Coeur" au the SIAL (International Fair of the Food Processing) Paris 2006 for the quality and the innovative caracteristics of the product. In competition with 90 countries, Pétales won the 1st prize of the innovation among more than 500 products presented.

 

The product was born during a fair : the owners didn't have enough bread to let taste the tapenade. As a consequence, they created a product that enables to eat tapenade but without bread.

 

It took several months to develop this product, as they wanted to have the same caracteristics as all the products of the mill : flavors and pleasure. Completely natural, without colouring and conservative, realised with green and black tapenade without anchovies, with traditional varieties of olives, this product let you crunch tapenade instead of spreading it.

 

You can use the Pétales for your aperitifs by itself, you can dip it, you can put it into salads or eat it with cheese...
