 The Steamed tomatoes were a request from Yannick Alleno.
The tomatoes are selected from the plant at perfect maturity from a grower in Saint-Rémy de Provence. The Steamed tomatoes are presented in the shape of half a tomato.
They are cooked for 8 hours in the oven without sugar or grenadine. They have a natural colour and their flavour is exceptional thanks to being ripened in the Provence sunshine. The tomato is unflavoured.
Packaging:
The Steamed tomatoes are sold in 1kg trays or in sterilised, vacuum packed 500g containers. They can be kept for 2 years.
Recommendations for use:
Preserved tomatoes are often used in catering for different dishes or as garnishes. For example, they can be used with fish, meats, artichokes, etc.
